I’m excited. It’s coming on Sci-fi tonight at 9PM. Written by, directed by, produced by and starring Bruce Campbell. Bad ass. Here’s the synopsis from Internet Movie Database (imdb.com):
Man with the Screaming Brain is a story of greed, betrayal and revenge in a small Bulgarian town. William Cole, wealthy industrialist, winds up with part of his brain replaced by that of a Russian cab driver Yegor. The two couldn’t be more different, but they share one thing — both were killed by the same woman. Brought back to life by a mad scientist, William and Yegor form an unlikely partnership to track down their common nemesis.
Did I mention that I was excited?
A few months back the Naro played Evil Dead II. Kim and I went because it had been years since either of us had seen the film and neither of us had seen it on the big screen. It was freaking amazing!! It was almost as good as seeing “The Story of Ricky” at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Boston.
Evil Dead II was so awesome on the big screen. I’m so glad we decided to go. Justin failed to mention that last weekend we were at my parents house for a party and we watched the most inappropriate movie ever for a family function: Evil Dead, The Book of the Dead version. There was a 2 year old walking around and a 10 month old…not to mention all my older Filipino Uncles and Aunties sitting in the kitchen playing Mah Jong. What could be more fun for the family than watching a half naked woman getting raped by a giant oak tree! Inappropriate doesn’t even begin to describe.
So tonight is the Man with the Screaming Brain…I guess I know what Justin and I will be watching tonight.
