I just finished all of my work for my Computer Applications class (basically an MS Office course). It is now 10AM and class ends at 1PM. But I have no place to go, so I am staying here for a while.. someone tell me a story.
Actually, I know my learning curve will start to steepen, if not immediately, in the near future. I’m kind of inspired to start doing some extracurricular geeking just so I won’t be too overwhelmed when my major-relevant courses start to kick in.

I took two courses that sound exactly like what you’re taking right now - introductory courses to computer applications that I was using in 9th grade. The ‘hard’ part came when MS Excel and Access were introduced. I vote you learn another programming language in your free time - maybe get the ability to add photos to your posts here.. via a handy content management tool (i.e. extend Wordpress).
I use a plugin called ImageManager for content.
When we get to Excel I will have something to work on. I have no experience with it. They don’t teach Access at ECPI anymore because their curriculum is based on industry feedback and apparently industry standard nowadays is to use Oracle for big databases. My dad is furious about that.
oracle? i see mysql and microsoft sql more. ms-sql for the larger databases. access is crap.
Thats just the explanation the teacher gave.
