This picture was an MVB (Most Valuable Beard) winner in the Whiskerino 2005 Beard Contest. It may prove to be the only MVB I’ll win.
I’m just a guy who’s into stuff.

Man, as hard as it was for you to post that photo - it is definetly a sign of getting old when you can look back at high school and say sincerely.. “WTF!?” I do the same thing, I just don’t have an 8×10 to back it up.
Yeah. You’re looking at a kid who had done such a good job of finally not letting the other kids get to him, that he had no idea that he turned into a total freakshow. I cleaned up the next year or two and began the recovery process by getting a girlfriend who made my life a wreck for a time and then I moved on to Boston for school.
The scariest part of this whole process is looking back and feeling like it wasn’t really all that long ago and that maybe you’re still the same person with better clothes and hair.
hey, I live in boston now. that picture seriously is rocking my week. will you please scan the 8×10 and post it online so people can find it when they google-image-search the word mullet? you would be doing us all a favor, you know. in fact, you already have…
Not a chance, Rachel.
Tell Smoots I said “what’s up” and it’s not the same without him.
Classic man, just classic! You gotta love Suicidal Tendencies though (the band, not actual suicidal tendencies…)
Robert Trujillio was one of my biggest influences at that age.
Trujillio is a phenomenal bassist! I myself wasn’t aware of him until I started playing bass when I was 14, but his style is just incredible. I’m still not totally sold on the new Metallica, but I thought it was cool that they got someone with such an impressive pedigree in punk and metal to take over for Jason Newsted.
Justin, you really should make that image public domain.
Mr. Smoots.
Thanks for giving me something to read while I stumbled home drunk from The Middle East.
Your friend,
Justin
