It’s reassuring to know that even though I am a little out of shape on the bass, I can throw on a Tower of Power CD and convincingly play along with Rocco Prestia. I need to funkify and de-rustify some chops but I can DO that stuff. To the point that I am prepared to make my case to the new band that we cover a TOP tune w/o horns (if Gov’t Mule can do it, so can we).
